I lived two years in Angola, not exactly as tourist but... in the war, however I had plenty of time and mood to understand the strength of the continent, the purity of its nature, and the possibilities still to develop.
A couple of accidents allowed several months staying in Luanda, the boosting and full of life capital.
The other months were spent in the north, half in Uíge area, the other half in Zaire.
I never went back (still hopping, but conditions of life and prices are not welcoming), but it's easy to notice that the Angola that I knew is gone, but nature is the same, and still there.
The memories (and photos) of the war are published in Vivevence, in Portuguese, the other memories are fading, but most of them still present.
